Arif Al Zafeen and Jean-Marc Sanchez in the aptly-named Victory 77's took their third win of the season this weekend at the Romanian Grand Prix, which also provided with the 2007 European title
Sheikh Hassan Al-Thani and Matteo Nicolini driving Qatar 96, took second place, with their team mates, Abdullah-Al Sulaiti and Luca Nicolini in Qatar 95, taking third.
The start of the race was controversial - with two boats appearing to jump the gun - but Al Zafeen and Sanchez were lying third by the end of the first lap behind Negotiator, but it was their Victory team-mates, Al Sayed and Nadir bin Hendi, who had the lead.
Victory 77 powered into the lead by the sixth lap, and stayed there until the finish-line, seeing off a strong challenge Qatar 96, and a near miss with the boat on the tenth lap.
Jean-Marc Sanchez said: "I think that was one of the best races of my career.
"It was a tough race. We gave 100 per cent from the start-to-finish.
"There were some dirty manoeuvres out there and some backmarkers that caused us problems.
"But we won and we are happy about that and we have our first title of the season."
Bjorn Gjelsten and Steve Curtis in Spirit of Norway only managed fourth place, despite dominating in the qualifiers.
