Power boat enthusiasts will be keeping a keen eye on industry developments at the Miami International Power Boat Show due to take place later this month. More than 2,300 sailing companies and marine industry manufacturers from all over the world will congregate at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida to display the newest powerboats, engines and accessories. The show is one of the biggest in the world occupying over 2.5 million square feet of exhibition space and, keeping the focus on the outdoors, just a fifth of this space will be within the centre itself. Yachtsmen with larger vessels can accommodate their prize assets in 250 feet deepwater slips at Maimarina, Bayside in the heart of downtown Miami. Meanwhile powerboats can be viewed in the water at the Sea Isle Marina and Yachting Center, where some are available for demonstration runs. For those wanting a break from the commercial powers that be in the sailing world, there is also a host of seminars, educational speeches and live entertainment that continues long into the night. The Miami International Power Boat Show takes place from February 15th to 19th.
