Essex Boatyards Ltd is a family owned business with over 30 years experience in boat sales & repairs. Our established yard here in Paglesham, Essex has been successfully operating since 1988.

With the introduction of James, Nick & Guy Barke into the company in 1991 the company has gone from strength to strength. Essex Boatyards Ltd has gone from just selling small 14ft sports boats to now offering up to 55ft Motor Yachts and becoming one of UK’s leading boat retail centres.

In 1999 Essex Boatyards Ltd became the UK importer and Distributor for Arvor fishing boats. The Arvor boats have since become the market leader for small fishing boats in the UK and were voted “Best Small Fishing Boat” by Sea Angler Magazine in 2002.

In 2000 we became the Premier Bayliner dealer for the south east of England. Supplying both sports boats (Capri) and cruisers (Ciera) ranges not only to the UK market but also to the Export market. After our success at the recent 2003 London International Boat Show we were appointed a dealer for the luxurious Doral. This addition to our NEW boat range enables us to cater for the most discerning boat owner who wants to stand out from the rest with the luxurious sports boat/ cruiser.

In order to supply our customers with the best service not only in sales but also with our after sales, Essex Boatyards Ltd is continuing to invest in new equipment, machinery to include a 30t Hoist and a New 2.5t Forklift, we are also improving our onsite facilities.

Located on a beautiful 65-acre lakeside site with easy access from the M3, are Russell Powerboats and Russell Watersports. These businesses offer a complete package for boat owners and personal watercraft users a like. The three lakes are situated alongside the river Blackwater, surrounded by scenic woodland and an attractive nature reserve.

Both businesses are dedicated to offering superb customer care and satisfaction across their wide range of services.

On site, at our Pro Shop, we will generally stock a full range of watersport accessories from kiddies shorties to latest designs of drysuits. Our hardware stock consists of a range of water-skis from wide monos / combos to the latest honeycomb slalom ski / wakeboards from such names such as H.O, Connelly and O’Brien. Marine servicing / Repair / Testing

On site we have full technical workshop facilities, with over 30 years experience of Mercury and Mercruiser marine engines and over 10 years of that specializing in Sea-Doo personal watercraft. We can cover all aspects of marine engineering, from servicing / winterization to full engine / gearbox rebuilds and hull / interior repairs on both boat and P.W.C.

Any work undertaken is not only insurance approved but also put to test on our 65-acre fresh water lake, a vital component in diagnostics and final on water set up.

We also offer a boat outfitting service, from race boat to ski boat. Together we will help you decide on the ideal specification for your boat, and then we bring all the parts together and then test on our lake to perfect the final set up.
