Stuart Turner 11 horsepower diesel engine was removed for a complete overhaul in 2004 and re-fitted with new drive shaft, prop and seal.All sea cocks have been replaced or overhauled.Also fitted with a new diesel tank.
Running and standing rigging replaced in 2004 and the guard rails have been modified from the original to double rails and posts to increase safety on board. Bobtail has a full set of sails in excellent condition by Gowen Ocean Sails. The Z Spars boom was new in 2005 and accommodates slab reefing of the Mainsail and has lazy jacks fitted together with a new cover. The mainsail in 6.52oz white high aspect Dacron with 4 battens and 2 reef eyelets was also new in 2005. The Genoa in contender 5.4oz white Supercruise with foam luff pad and white UV strips to leach and foot was new in 2006. It benefits from roller furling and in addition there is a new and virtually unused blade jib together with the original spinnaker.
Bobtail is currently moored at Heybridge Basin, Essex with facility for recovery on her custom built yard trailer, which is included in the asking price along with tender. Owners immigration to Australia forces sale.
