You can race it, you can cruise it. The Sonata is very seaworthy and fast for its size. Sadly, it’s no longer built, but Hunter Boats made over 400 Sonatas during a period of about 20 years and you'll find Sonatas all around the UK. Many sailing clubs have adopted the Sonata as a one-design class and most of the major regattas have a Sonata start. Frankie however has been used much more as a cruising boat up in the Lake District as opposed to an out and out racer– which accounts for the lovely condition she is offered for sale in.
