Built in the USA, this example of a ‘Riviera 28’ is in very nice condition and has the great benefit of having been re-engined with a pair of Volvo Penta 3 cylinder diesel engines of 45hp each. This gives the craft great manoeuvring capabilities in addition to good fuel economy.
The forward saloon includes an excellent galley and a dining area which can be converted via the table and infill cushion to make a generous double berth. Stepping up into the wheel house/ central cockpit area, you will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of space, including seating for 6-8 people with the added benefit of a 4 seater dinette. One can imagine, eating alfresco on a bright day in this setting.
Aft of the generous cockpit, two steps lead down to the aft cabin which is equipped with two good sized berths.
The general condition of ‘Loch Shiel’ is good, with her original gel coat finish polishing up beautifully when the season allows. She has a BSSC until 30th June 2010. Well worth a look.
